“At the time when Japan ruled Korea, monks could have done something as well.” Young Chu was a monk in the middle of Joseon Dynasty that led monk troops and participated in many of the wars with great contributions. Beyond the religion, Young Chu was always ready to die for his country. He represents a great role model for man of the religious people in modern era who only think of their interest.
