International Horticulture Goyang Korea making the world full of flower scent

Goyang-si is becoming the most fragrant city in the world in spring after cold winter every year. In addition, it is also becoming the most beautiful city in the world. It has been over 20 years since International Horticulture Goyang Korea was held as a global flower exhibition beyond Goyang.

However, there was an enthusiastic response about International Horticulture Goyang Korea that has become a globally reputed event, and countries, companies, and visitors participating in the event requested the exhibition to be held every year.

In addition, as years have passed by, it has been gaining reputation as a global festival.

Traces of International Horticulture Goyang Korea are dazzling. Starting the first exhibition where 207 companies from 29 countries, International Horticulture Goyang Korea had its 10th event in 2016 where 313 companies from 31 countries (including Korea) that the accumulated number of audiences reached 6 million (Total 6.2 million). Especially, more than 35 thousand visitors among them were foreigners that International Horticulture Goyang Korea has become one of the best flower exhibitions in the world. However, International Horticulture Goyang Korea is not just a splendid exhibition with many of the participating countries or companies/visitors. It has been taking a leading role for the development of local economy since it started 20 years ago. It was known that the exhibition was effective in having 30 thousand people hired through 10 times of exhibition. This proves how effective International Horticulture Goyang Korea was in terms of economic benefit.

There is more than that. As it is the event where hundreds of companies from foreign countries and also domestic companies participate in together, there are active exportation and importation that provide a good opportunity to companies domestic and foreign companies. The total amount related to production during the period of International Horticulture Goyang Korea including other profits such as entrance ticket income is known to exceed 1.2 trillion KRW. This is a marvelous result achieved by a single exhibition. However, the biggest accomplishment of International Horticulture Goyang Korea was to improve the reputation of Goyang-si. With the success of International Horticulture Goyang Korea, Goyang-si has successfully been transitioned into the city of beautiful and fragrant flower, global city with the world best events, and the tour city for attracting tourists from many of the countries in the world with Korean Wave.
