tomb of Gyewongun and shindobi

The tomb of gyewongun is located from Jinbad village in Sungsukro and Oraegol village which is connected from Sungsukdong of Ilsandonggu to the direction of Munbongdong.

The tomb is a twin grave together with the wife, Mrs. Min of Yeohung and is made in the southeast direction and a village is created.

There are 3 tombstones in front of the tomb, Sangsuk, Jangmyeongdeung and Mangjusuk and a pair of Muninsuk , and in the front of the right side of the marble tombstone 'Seunghundaebugyewonguneuijimyo'.

The shindobi is located 70 meters beneath the tomb and there is a white marble Bishin on top of the square brace.

It was built in the 15th year of King Sunjo(1582) and is written 'Jangmingongshindobimyung'.

Gyewongun Ieui(1469~1554) is a scholar in the mid Joseon Dynasty, and is the royal family and the adulthood name is Euiji and was the 4rth descendant of the 2nd Jungjong and is the son of Iwon of Baeksunggun.

He already knew all the words at age four and read all the Saseosamgyeong, he was rewarded as gyerimbusu and was first place in the civil examination at the 8th year of Yeonsan(1502) and was promoted as Myungsundaebu, and Seunghundaebu.

In the year King Jungjong ascended on the throne, he was Donryeongbudojung, and was rewarded as gyewongun in the 26th year of Jungjong(1531).
