Start Unified Korea Silicon Valley global network in 282 cities in 104 countries

Furthermore, Goyang-si has been expanding the network with businessmen in Korea and abroad since the past officially starting Unified Korea Silicon Valley global network in 282 cities in 104 countries.

Goyang-si has successfully advertised major businesses in Goyang-si including Unified Korea Silicon Valley at the World Octa American Businessmen Competition where about 300 major government officers and businessmen in Korea including the consul general in US Embassy, Dongki Kim, and also the a member of House of Representative in Maryland, Mark Chang, and those from abroad participated at Washington Park and actively intended to expand the global businessmen global network.

Major contents in the stipulation include the establishment of ‘ global center,’ business planning and advertisement as a core partner in Goyang-si, World Octa-based participation on the work operation including investment attraction, opportunity for juveniles and talents on employment, creation of business foundation school, and commercialization of business foundation program. Especially, establishment of the office building, ‘ Global Center’ in World Octa that was relocated to Goyang-si next to ‘ Business Center’ in 2015 was to expand and develop the cooperative relation with Goyang-si in the future.

They successfully held business explanation session of Unified Korea Silicon Valley at LA, San Francisco, and San Jose since the 3rd, participated in the Maekyung Silicon Valley forum to proceed business advertisement through the interview with businessmen and congratulatory speech for the opening, and actively intended to attract foreign investment. They met the major of Buena Park near LA agreeing to continuously maintain cooperative relationship after signing on MOU and focusing on establishment of network with mayors in cities in foreign countries.

Especially, they signed on MOU with San Jose KIC (Korean Innovation Center) that served as a bridge between Silicon Valley in America and Korean ICTs and specifically discussed with the KIC president, Hunsoo Lee, at the meeting about consulting knowhow for establishing Silicon Valley companies and also about how to incorporate them to Silicon Valley. Hence, they decided to continue advising and cooperating with each other.

Other than them, they visited core associates in Lauden county, Washing DC intellectual life platform district (Gramercy District) for the interview with CEO, and Washington DC city hall smart city top technology office (OCTO) to share outstanding cases of IT and communication infrastructure and discussed about specific technical cooperative plans by visiting cutting edge industry fields near the area. They also predicted the possibility of development of Unified Korea Silicon Valley from the policy for North Korea and diplomatic trend these days. Mayor Choi has had a meeting with major figures in the organizations including those in Heritage Foundation from CIA, core associates in National Security Department in America, director at SAIS, Jason Ku, and the president of Korea Society, Thomas Byrne as well as foreign correspondents in Washington and New York and re-confirmed how Unified Korea Silicon Valley will be the hub of peaceful unification policy by the president Jaein Moon under rapidly changing diplomatic situations.

Furthermore, they have discussed the cooperative plans with international societies for establishing international industrial complex as a basis for economic cooperation between South and North Korea including peaceful unification special district and also shared many stories about various current issues including Korea-America policies by the president Jaein Moon, policies against North Korea, and Nobel Peace Prize for victims of Comfort Women. Especially, the president of Korea Society, Thomas Byrne who served as a American ambassador to Korea decided to visit Goyang-si on October for cooperation after showing interest in Unified Korea Silicon Project.

On the 27th, about 350 mayors in all over the world including the mayor in Seoul, Wonsoon Park, participated in Wego Award at Ulyanovsk ending up being rewarded with gold prize (top). In addition, they requested mayor groups in all over the world to participate in ‘Smart City Innovation Submit Asia’ to be held at Goyang KINTEX on September and had confirmation with support from the departments.

They had a meeting with associates in Nobel Peace Prize starting from the prevention of ambassadors of Korea in Norway at Oslo in Norway and discussed about the proceedings of Nobel Peace Prize for victims of Comfort Women by Japanese soldiers and requested for continuous cooperation.
