Cultural heritage encountered at Bukhan Mountain

Daeseomun

This is Daeseomun and it is the front gate of Bukhansanseong Fortress.

Among 16 gates in Bukhansanseong Fortress, Daeseomun is located in the lowest place. Daeseomun is also important as a front gate.

When Japanese invaders invade or King in Haenggung visit Bukhansansung Fortress, they had to pass this Daeseomun. Thus, Daesomun is strategically and militarily significant.
