In Haengjusanseong Fortress, Goyang-si, the sunrise festival is held between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. on January 1 every year. The summit of Haengjusanseong Fortress is considered the best place to enjoy the first sunrise of the new year because it offers an outstanding view. Anyone can participate without a separate application, and Haengjusanseong Fortress will open the Great Battle Gate from 4:30 a.m. on the same day, and admission and parking are free.Various programs, including various performances, ballooning New Year's wishes, and fireworks, are held cheerfully, giving a pleasant memory to the exciting heart of the new year.
